Thomas & Thomas on the HORIZON II rods:
Fast Action, 3-13 wt. and a 14-16 wt.
Built with T&T’s exclusive Bi-Angular Fiber Technology (BAFT), the Horizon II Series feels lighter and more responsive than other high-performance rods. But the reason Horizon IIs have so many fans is crystal clear on the first cast. The HII’s dual-helical graphite fibers are aligned with laser accuracy, enhancing the transfer of energy throughout your cast, producing an unmatched level of line feel. Enhanced line feel magnifies the rod load allowing you to intuitively step on the power with split-second timing. Result: tight loops, power, and unmatched distance.

Handles and Reel Seats:
Rods with line weights 3-6 wt. are fitted with a Western grip and up-locking screw reel seat and black anodized fittings with a bubinga wood spacer.
7 wt. and higher rods are fitted with a Full Wells grip, black salt-proof up-locking anodized reel seat, cork fighting butt extension, and oversized snake and stripping guides.
S-models through 9 wt. feature a 1 1/2" fighting butt, 10 wt. and higher use a 2".

Apex is designed for technically skilled anglers – guys after Florida tarpon, bones, snook or big Northeast strip- ers. If you’re in this club, you know all about pounding wind and the need for a supercharged rod with the line speed to beat it back.

Handles and Reel Seats:
All Apex models are built with a Full Wells grip, and T&T’s custom saltwater seat, and with ebony toned salt-proof spacer and bright anodized mechanics.
Six through nine weight rods have a 11/2” fighting butt. Ten through twelve weight rods are fitted with a 2” fighting butt.
