It was an old G series Scott rod (a 9' 5 wt 4 piece) that started my career as a tackle tart & I've had a soft spot for them ever since.
Scott have always been innovators and their fly rods are supremely functional fishing tools which have a distinctive character of their own.
They have established a near cult status and very loyal customer base; in the UK they are a bit of a well kept secret and deserve the wider recognition they enjoy elsewhere (though not too much; I sort of enjoy the cult thing!).
