What makes Abel Reels Different?
The differences in Abel reels from our competitors are both obvious and subtle. At first you’ll see the incredible proprietary anodized finish, done by us in our own precision machine shop (not sub-contracted), hand-polished to perfection. Not so obvious is the use of cold finished aluminum, a costlier process that produces a denser, stronger metal for a lifetime of fly-fishing pleasure. Reels are made entirely in our shop and are monitored at every step by precision micrometers. Over fifteen machinists and technicians handle each reel during production. All parts – even the internal components – are hand polished. But most of all, our reels are made with an ingredient that’s difficult to define, however you’ll know it when you see it: American Pride of Craftsmanship.

AVAILABILITY.

I aim to keep in stock a small number of trout reels selected from the TR, Abel Creek and 3N and 4N Super Series ranges, in both Abel's standard and special finishes. Please Contact me for latest information.
Standard reels come in high gloss black finish with wooden handles & ported frames. Matt Black, solid frames and aluminium handles are optional at no extra cost (with reel order).
Otherwise the TR, Abel Creek, 3N & 4N and the full range of custom options are, of course, available to order.

To place an order first choose your reel by visiting the Reels Page (follow the link below) and add it to the cart. Then if you want, you can follow the link to the Options page to choose from the myriad of different options available & design your very own "Alternative" Abel.
When you have completed your order I will contact you and let you know what delivery time to expect.
