Thomas & Thomas Individualist bamboo rods have been the hall- mark of the rod maker’s art for more than four decades. They have earned world-wide acclaim and are prized by serious anglers who appreciate the investment of a lifetime. Thomas & Thomas rods have been thoughtfully chosen as gifts for royalty, heads of state, and captains of industry. Each rod receives the individual attention of Tom Dorsey, T&T’s master craftsman, right down to the smallest detail. They feature a hand-rubbed, high-gloss varnish finish, hand- wrought nickel silver reel seats with burled walnut spacers, and the finest quality Portuguese cork grips. The unparalleled quality of these rods extends to such fine details as the gently sculptured sliding band on the reel seat, and the ultra-fine jeweler’s knurl at the edge of the sliding ring.
Individualist Series - Our finest bamboo fly rods are designed with a complex taper that turns from a delicate tip top to the distinctive T&T swelled butt, and comes with an extra tip. Built from the finest indi- vidually selected Tonkin cane, the flamed bamboo is complemented by medium brown and translucent guide wraps at the tip top and ferrules.
Classic Series - These bamboo fly rods are a two-piece straight butt design. Each is appointed with cinnamon coloured wraps, hand- rubbed finish, and nickel silver reel seat components.
Appointments:
Rods for #2, #3 and #4 lines feature a nickel silver butt cap and oxidized black sliding ring, with burled walnut reel-seat spacer and Cigar grip.
Rods for #5, #6, #7 and #8 lines are fitted with hand-buffed nickel silver up-locking reel seat, mortised burled walnut spacer and Western grip.
Each rod comes with an aluminium tube finished with precision machined nautical brass fittings.
Individualist Grilse and Salmon models are provided with a 2'' detachable fighting butt.
Individualist Collector Grade rods have two mirror image tips, made from the same culm of bamboo with identical node positioning.
