The Finest Bamboo Fly Rods ~ Hand made in England. All Moran fly rods are supplied in a custom made reinforced leather tube, custom made, high quality cotton rod sack and come with two mirrored tips. The selected bamboo is hand planed to superfine tolerances to provide the progressive actions inspired by Garrison. The Nickel Silver fittings are all made in house by Tom Moran, this includes guides, caps, rings, ferrules, handles, reel seats, etc. Everything is of the highest possible quality.

The bamboo can be straw (blond) or caramel (medium flamed). Wraps are generally translucent with signature single thread black tipping. Coloured silk wraps can be specified at time of ordering. Nickel Silver ferrules (1x short), snake guides, top rings are polished on straw rods and blued on caramel rods but can be polished / blued on request. Reel seats are Selected Fiddleback Maple - other woods can be specified, seats can also be made from wood supplied by you. Custom Agate stripper rings can be sourced on request and at additional cost. Please ask for up to date delivery times. As a guide, at the time of writing (June 2008) you can expect to wait about 6-9 months for a 2 piece rod & 9-12 months for a 3 piece.
