This light-weight modern action rod is powerful, fast and accurate when it comes to casting yet is sensitive and responsive enough to fish dry fly and nymph on the finest of tippet. Tactical rods are built on specially designed high modulus blanks that are light-weight, responsive and provide the power to punch a big lure into the wind or delicately present a dry fly under a tree. New this season are two new specialist rods; for brook and small rivers the 8ft #3 is ideal for pinpoint short casting with light tippets and the power house 9ft #8, ideal for sea trout, pike or sea bass it has the backbone to play big aggressive fish but has a slightly easier casting action so that you can last out the whole day. The 8-weight has a deep anodized black all purpose reel seat so can deal with salt and freshwater alike. All Rods feature • 4-piece construction for ease of travel in a specially designed cloth bag and embroidered square cross-section cordura tube – so it can’t roll off the car or boat! • Hard-chrome titanium single-foot rings for improved action and reduced weight with matching low profile, lined stripping guide rings. • Top quality cork handle with green aluminum fittings and a maple burl wood spacer compliment the beautiful deep green blank and whippings (#8 9ft provided will deep anodized sea grade fittings).
